Inspired by the protagonist of a novel of the same name written in 1880, by Giovanni Verga.

The wine shows a very intense bouquet of fruits such as red berries, prunes and cherries. On the palate it is powerful and intense, yet approachable, giving a great depth of fruit and intense spicy flavours such as pepper. Velvety and smooth with a long and persistent finish.
